From 97 thru 99 he played in the indy Heartland & Frontier leagues He led his leagues in homers and slugging pct in 98-99.The Yankees signed him in oct 99. He helped the S.I. Yankees win the Short season Penn league title in 2000. He hit 281 10 hr & 50 rbi in his pro debut.This year at Greensboro he is at 309 22 hrs 59 rbi in 94 games.Mainly a dh and limited to First base.He is 26 yrs old and playing against pitching that is on the avg 4 yrs younger.The Yankees should promote him quickly. The Yankees have no First base prospects at the next two levels.
