Anybody know the new dancing old guy?

Hope I don't sound crazy but I've been to two games in the last week,the weds afternoon game against the twins and then tonights game against baltimore (I think he was at the July 4th game as well but I'm not 100% sure). At both games at some point in the game the camera goes into the crowd and shows an older gentleman (with his pants pulled up really high) dancing to whatever music is playing at the time in the stadium. It's pretty hilarious and the old guy's got moves.

Anybody know who this guy and what's his story? I don't recall him from earlier games but I also haven't been to as many games this season as I usually attend :mad:

Do they refer to him as "Disco Stu" or is this a different person?

Nope not Disco Stu. Saw him last night as well, wasn't too impressed. But there were people in the stands with "I Heart Disco Stu" t-shirts so I guess he's popular.

i could be wrong...but i think that is a clip that is run quite often.

The last game I went to, they showed a newer shot of the older man with the pulled-up pants. It seemed to be live since they showed the older clip, then the newer one... :dunno:

Then there is that guy who sits @ field level and bops around--is that "Disco Stu?; he has a full head of silver hair and is sometimes sleeveless. I can see him from my seats.

I've wondered about that guy, too. But think that's a canned clip. It always looks like a sunny day in the background when he is dancing, but they show it even at night games.

The clip of the "old" guy is about 4-5 years old. I often wonder if the guy is still alive! At least when they show "Disco Stu", he really is at the game.
You would think with 50,000+ in the park every game they wouldn't need to show fans dancing in the stands from 5 years ago:D

It is, and its a few years old. they have 2 clips of him: one in the field level seats (I have seen that since 06 i believe, and one in the back by the main reserve, which is fairly new (I think this year).
I have seen the one by the field level seats so many times now. the only thing i remember from it is that a kid with a Mets shirt walks by behind him... (every time, lol;) )

The clips of the old man (Stanley) are not 4-5 yeard old. The ones in the filed level seats were shot last year on his 89th birthday, and the newer one was shot this yJune on his 90th birthday.

How about that guy who seems to have a "gay" (hint) old time while dancing at games. This isn't Disco Stu is it? He usually has a tank top on, which is, most of the time, pink or purple. Who is this guy?
