As everyone knows we pick last in the first round(30th overall). Our first five picks in the draft are:

#30 - ANDREW BRACKMAN, RHP, NC STATE
#94 - Austin Romine, C, El Toro HS
#124 - Ryan Pope, RHP, Savannah Col. of Arts and Design
#154 - Brad Suttle, 3B, Texas
#184 - Adam Olbrychowski, RHP, Pepperdine

Well, it's televised. They're making it more like football's draft, it appears. Each team gets five minutes a pick in the first round, which is much longer than it used to be, I believe. Am I right about that?

It appears that, at least for the first few, MLB is asking teams to take the full five minutes. This thing may really drag over two hours for the first round. Not great to watch.

I've heard rumors linking the Cubs to Dominguez. Wouldn't that be wild if that HS had picks 2 AND 3 come out of it? Sheesh.

Also, that would greatly improve the odds that LaPorta would make it to 30, as well as Weiters, as Vitters is a hitter who won't cost quite as much (though he won't be cheap either).

I've seen it (though I hate all things about the NFL), but you can't compare the NFL and MLB drafts, in my opinion. The MLB isn't and shouldn't be a rock star drama filled draft - nobody knows the players! Just make the damn picks and get it over with, nobody wants to watch the dumb analyst comments or filler segments.
