Works for me & then after the Twins game, Santana says he wants to be a Yankee & will sign for less then $100M for 6 years.

And then the Twins decide to trade us Santana, Mauer and Morneau for Giambi and Molina, while eating all salary and throwing in whoever is their top prospect these days.

And then Jesus Christ himself comes down from the heavens, but only to get struck out swinging on 3 pitches by Phil Hughes in his try out.

Be realistic now. They have to throw in Garza & Liriano to make it fair for us.

Not related to the AL playoff chase, but how good is Ryan Braun...this guy just hit his 22nd HR of the season off Brad Lidge to give the Brewers a 6-4 lead in a game they desperately need. Braun was called up on May 30.

Then Prince went back-to-back to give the Brew Crew a three-run lead...

he had a shane spencer type month in July with 11Hrs. Don't expect him to hit 50 Hrs though. He looks like a solid 25-35 Hr guy- year in, year out, that can hit for average.

Between him and Prince fielder, they have some mashers for years to come.

Ties for WC lead, 4th best record in baseball.
We now also have a better record than the Mets, whom people have assumed were the heir apparents to the Yankees NY throne for quite some time.

Only Boston, LAA, and Arizona have better records, and tell me anyone wants to play us right now..

I think today was important at least in the sense that they lost no ground. Their record got a game better and they hung tough with their competition.

Yep, and Posada got another extra day of rest. We must sweep tomorrow!!

Well I guess technically the Mets still are the heir apparent to the Yankees for the throne, but much in the way that Prince Charles is the heir apparent to the throne. Sure, he's next in line, but is he really ever going to get that crown?

I read this same argument from Boston fans on SOSH with teams like KC and Toronto. Some teams simply match up better than others. For every team that Boston tramples there's others that give them fits...just like us. But at the same time I would love to see the O's step it up.

There is no doubt they stink, yet always play the Yankees hard. It really bothers me. I know there isn't much to work with in Baltimore in terms of their roster, but their lineup is a joke. Millar behind Tejada? Terrible.

I know, it's funny like that. You can look at any Red Sox board, take out the profanities and it's a lot like this one. Judging by the tone, you'd think they were ten games out. As for the Orioles, it's like they're playing in Fenway anyway, they might as well give up the last at bat. Their fans are pathetic.

Hell, they got to the Sux bullpen on Friday, and nobodys done that this year...they played 'em tough and won one....they put up more of a fight than the Indians did against us....now THERE is a team with no heart...we have NOTHING to worry about from them...IMHO :D

If the O's do it, it would be their first series win against the Sox since 2005.

Tim Donaghy was evaluated too and he got among the highest marks among NBA refs. So that system really doesnt do much.

Bucknor is so bad though...officiating in the NBA is inconsistent overall it's hard to tell who is bad

I know how you feel -- Mo made it interesting but now that my heart rate is back to normal, I feel the same way! :D
